Honestly, I don't even remember why I signed up for an account. I think it was just to have something for job searches and leads, but it ended up being a super crapfest of low-budget spammers who decided to try and pander their garbage over and over and over. (Wall of shame here, blog about it here.) I suppose that's why I'm so unbothered. With the exception of a few accounts I will need to change, everything else can fade into the distance.
- Family members who hardly talk to me? Welp, sorry. Email is about to fade out Summer of this year. HMU on Facebook. Bring gum.
- Annoying spam bots talking about they're veterans with gold bars for me? Fade to black.
- Fake spammers trying to fix this dog and pony show? Byeeeeeee!
- Calendars, reminders, spam blockers? Babe, that's GMail. Handled.
Why should I pay for something that GMail does for free? I'm not about to pay 3-4 bucks a month just for a basic email account that still doesn't know the difference between spam and actual mail.
So long, good night, and all that jazz.
