A section of my upper gums and one wisdom tooth have been bumpin' harder than a Chicago House party in the 90's. Eventually, the gum pain stopped. But that wisdom tooth?
Since then, I've been taking pain meds, swishing home remedies, kickin' it with the Anbesol and Rexall, and just flat out trying to find some oral peace and quiet once more. Tea has been my friend, chewing (most things) my enemy. I considered whiskey, but out of respect for my fam's home, Roni ain't bringin' whiskey to the crib.
So, I caved. HARD.
I went to the closest dentist I could find in-network, I got examined by the ultra-hunky Dr. Fletcher.....
And then BOOM:
"I don't want to scare you, but you have to get all 4 of your wisdom teeth out."

I really think one side of my gums got damaged from having that metallic apparatus shoved in my mouth when I was in Chicago. It didn't start hurting, however, until years later.
So yeah, I'm going to Murray, KY the 8th of August. I had a choice between that date and the 27th, and that seemed too close for comfort. My jacked up teeth and I are hoping for a better oral future. Luckily none of the wisdom teeth were impacted or infected, just...big. O_o Full grown, and sort of trapped between the gumline. The culprit in question has been bumpin' on and off since my late 20's. My previous dentist in Chicago was trying to wait until it surfaced, but 2 yrs and a move to TN later--they've got to come out.
Countdown to removal....
