(Pinch me for real, and you're getting smacked.)
For dog and pony show blogs like mine, freebies are a staple for product reviews. I usually hear about how to get freebies by word of mouth from other bloggers and friends on Facebook. The power of social media is amazing when people aren't being awful little nuggets with the racism, setting themselves on fire, and homophobia. It's a network of people sharing recipes, contests, and cool ways to get free stuff.
Let's not play the denial game--You love free stuff, I love free stuff!! Samples are awesome; especially if you get to eat, drink, or wear them. While it might be troublesome to answer a million questions to get the free stuff, you get a chance to give your opinion, participate, and possibly change how the brand is presented. There's also the chance that you get MORE free stuff.
I just wanna talk about PinchMe for a hot second. I just wanted to run my mouth because I FINALLY got a coveted sample of SinfulColors Nail polish in the mail. That's how hot PinchMe is. If you don't jump right on it when they email you on Sample Sign-Up Tuesday, that's it. You either get the leftovers or nothing at all.
They send all kinds of samples for stuff like makeup, coffee, health food, and haircare samples. Sometimes it's a full sample (like nail polish or a granola bar), and sometimes it's just a run-of-the-mill tiny bottle or packet. They also have contests and coupons for various brands. There's ALWAYS a rush to the site when they send out the emails that something is ready to be sampled. They send them out on Tuesdays at 12 PM EST. (Not EVERY Tuesday, mind you.) I found out about Suave's Smoothing lotion thanks to PinchMe, and my skin is VERY happy about that. You never know what you'll get when it's sample day!
My sample box also came with stuff from Garnier Fructis-- A Hydra Recharge haircare sample set, hair elixir, and some gel face scrub. I also got a packet of Gevalia Coffee. Yum, yum. The Eva So Bright shade of nail polish was the bright pink gem of this sample haul, and I'm really happy I finally got to try it. Makeup and haircare samples get snagged rather quickly. I mean, the site lags, suddenly it's "sold out", and you're sittin' there with nada! Their next sample handout will be on the 26th of this month. I highly suggest signing up ahead of time, connecting your Facebook page, filling out your profile, and gettin' started. Come early, fill up your box, start the sampling process today!
