New territory for this blogger lady! We usually review snacks, recipes, and beauty products. My latest
product review is indeed a beauty-based product, but it's one I never considered trying. We see commercials all the time for teeth whitening pastes, strips, and mouthwashes. There's advertisements for offices offering expensive whitening services. So, when the SmileBrilliant company personally e-mailed and asked to try their whitening kit, I decided to tap into my curiosity and try one.

About SmileBrilliant
They are a Midwestern-based, national dental laboratory in MO. They service thousands a year, with custom-fitted bleaching trays and professional-grade bleaching gels. They're sorta like the "middle man" between the customer and their dentist office, often creating the products that offices resell to patients.
They're interested in cutting the expensive prices of cosmetic dental work, selling their brand of products (trays, whitening gel, LED Whitening Kit, Whitening pen, and Desensitizing Gel) directly to the customer from their online shop.
My first test run was a bit of a disaster! I will admit to having a difficult time keeping my mouth open long enough to get the gel on my teeth. I fumbled around a bit. After I put the guard and the light on, things went a bit more smoothly. The directions (see below) are incredibly easy. Just take your time!
I did treatments for about two weeks, every Weds. and Fri. My teeth didn't exactly come out pearly white, but I did notice significant difference between my first day and my last. I was very impressed with SmileBrilliant's kit. It's inexpensive, yet effective. There were no side effects, and of course my confidence skyrocketed with whiter teeth. I did treatments while I sat and watched clips on YouTube, read for classes, and even cooked my dinner, lol. Working with the kit made me think again about whitening kits. They're not bad at all, and your chompers come out looking ever so nice. Thanks SmileBrilliant!
Disclaimer: The wonderful folks at SmileBrilliant emailed and asked if I'd like to try one of their whitening kits. In exchange for a free kit, I had to write a product review. No coaching, no sales pitch! All honesty, all the time! As long as I linked back to their site, what I blogged/how was up to me. Bada bing, bada boom. ;)
Trying the Kit
My routine for tooth health consists of the following--brush, floss, rinse, visit the dentist. That's it! I've seen teeth whiteners before, but felt intimidated by all the steps needed for a pearly white smile. Getting this kit in the mail was no different. I was excited to try it out, but wasn't sure if I'd see results. My kit contained:- LED Light
- 1 tube of Whitening Gel
- A tooth guard tray
- Distribution Brush
