Sweetly-scented shower gels are my weakness. Floral, feminine scents, tea-themed affairs, and tropical business are at the top of my list. Imagine my delight upon getting an invite from BzzAgent to try out a full-sized sample of Tone Body wash in Petal Soft w/ Pink Peony & Rose oil scent. It's a mouthful, isn't it? Ahhh but the smell--the smell is so soft, so delicate, so...delightfully pleasant. It's just enough to make to you smell good all day, but not too much where it's a nasal assault for the next 24 hours. We're talking classy body wash, readers.
~The Delightful Breakdown~
- It's pretty, it's pink, it's a creamy body wash.
- It's got rose oil in it, so it's gonna moisturize the dryness. (Lemme tell ya, in the winter, I dry up! I felt smooth, soft, and pretty after every shower.)
- Awesome lather action. (Just in case you've got a small child-like spirit, and bubbles + lather make your day...)
- This, friends, is a "daily indulgence". Says so right on the back of the bottle. In other words, treat yo self! :-D
After my excitement of being invited to this Bzz Campaign (let's face it, it covers three of my loves-- freebies, writing, and great-smelling stuff) calmed down a bit, I took a moment to inhale the scent. Like I mentioned before, this wash is very soft and floral. I wasn't too sure I caught the peony scent, but there's definitely traces of roses, a hint of sweet pea, and some kind of Springtime medley that made me wanna sing spirited sunshine songs and weave daisies in my hair.
The scent is light and feminine in a way that isn't over the top or obvious, like it's trying to hard to appeal to your senses. Those are the kinds of washes you get tired of, quickly. Then you're stuck with the novelty stuff until it's is all gone. I had about a week/two weeks to spend with this scent, and it's just as lovely and invigorating as the first time I showered with it. Use this under a steaming shower and you'll be totally relaxed. I was ready to curl up in bed about an hour after I used.
The delicacy of Tone's Pink Peony & Rose Oil lingers with you all day. It starts off as a light, yet prominent scent on your body. Skin feels smooth, soft, and delicate. Hours later, the scent is still kinda there and it's just as lovely and feminine. Although I myself trip the lines between "whatever", "tomboy", and some kind of knock-off urban chic, this body wash totally spoke to my inner hippie femme lady. We sang, we danced, we drank tea and watched the Lifetime channel. (We also need to beat FF13 but that's not gonna happen until we beef up some more. Any tips on that matter would be grand...O_o)
All in all, this is a pretty decent body wash. She'll definitely be in wash rotation as a loyal brand.
