It's Hooooooot.

While I get my education on, the blog entries might be rather short or nonexistent at all. I hate to leave my baby to fester, losing interest in the process. Part of the purpose of PD was for yours truly to flex her writing muscle at least twice a week. It forces me to find something to talk about. I do have a product review to finish, so my giant brown turkey legs will be all over your screen sometime this month. Come August, I will be hitting the pavement trying to find a job, a good work-ready hairstyle, and hopefully stepping up my work clothes game. Salary or hourly, I'm praying hard I graduate (Math could er...deter that if I let it.) and pass with at least a C in my last class. I swear, they waited good and well to get me. Curse you, Finite Math.

So, let me just get right to the point of this entry. Right now, the country seems to be suffering from intense heat. Matter of fact, Chicago might as well be on fire right now. For the next three days and beyond, it's going to be over 100 freakin' degrees outside (or close to it). We're talkin 100 to 102. As a person with Bronchitis and asthma, I can't really be outdoors getting friendly with nature at this point. I'm already feeling a tiny bit wacky. I need to get a refill on my emergency inhaler, seeing as I only have a steroid inhaler to make the attacks less frequent. Sigh. Illnesses.

Anyone who shares my symptoms should stay indoors as much as possible. Watch the air quality warnings in your area for any changes in the atmosphere. Take your meds, do a steam treatment, and consume water to keep yourself hydrated and congestion free. As always, staying hydrated period is a MUST in the heat. Same for staying cool. The heat is no joke, and there have been quite a few deaths reported due to the extreme heat. Here's hoping you and yours are staying cool and safe during these extreme times. We'll be in it for a week here in Chicago. Can you even imagine it being 89 at 11:30 at night? Sheesh. I know that's typical for some parts of the world, but come on dude. I can't even go outside to enjoy the freakin' 4th of July!! Meanwhile, I decided not to do a twist-out this week. I washed my hair, conditioned, and then teased with a pick comb. Afrolicious. :-D Solid. Right on.
