Acrylic, Monogrammed, and Affordable

I'll never be able to solve the mystery of the missing glasses from Grandmother's glass chest. She had a set of glasses with our family initial on 'em. They were lovely, round, and the decorations of many dinners and such. My dad decided to start using them as "regular glasses", which would be a HUGE no-no if my dearest granny Ellen were still here. Well, she's 600+ miles away in merry old Paris, TN without the slightest hint that her grand glasses are being used for everyday swill. Unless she's a psychic, she'll never know.

Those glasses ran off into the night, I tell ya. I think a few got broken. I can't even recall how many were in the set. I'm guessing there were five or six 8 oz. glasses and four 4 oz. glasses. Since there's only three of the 8 oz. glasses, my father started using the 4 oz. glasses. CRINGE. Since Grandma raised me, I'm under her mentality on "good things". The "good glasses" aren't supposed to be used unless it's a special occasion. Pouring a glass of 10% juice ain't a special time.

Anyway, I've been trying to find replacements for months. Especially when I noticed the etching on the glasses were fading. I found one company that does wonderful work, but wanted 69 dollars for six glasses. Point blank, I'm not spending 69 dollars on something I might drop. Maybe after tax season. My next stop was Figi's, the origin of the glasses. They stopped doing that. Now they just etch crappy bar glasses and wine glasses. Foo. After getting a million hits on Google and fooling with Overstock, I landed on Personalization Mall.

The process was easy. Acrylic drinkware, 14 oz., 4 in a set with a lovely Script "W" on the glass. 42 bucks (that's with shipping, handling, tax.) and processed in a few days and delivered within the next seven. If somebody drops one, they don't break. They're nice and durable, dontcha know. If we feel so inclined to get more, I can point, click, re-order. Awesome. They're the perfect everyday drinkware without the hassle of clumsy people or butter-fingered children breaking 'em. Highly recommended, sure to fill those empty spaces in your collection.
