After-Christmas Funk

Ah, I've reached that point in my blogging career where I start running out of ideas. Unlike a Xanga or LiveJournal, I promised myself I wouldn't let go of my schedule "just because". This blog is supposed to be helping me continue the craft and gift of writing so that someday, I actually finish one of my many projects with diligence and confidence. As it stands, I have about forty or more sitting on my desktop waiting for me to stop playing on Twinoid and Gaia to get to work.

I made plans this week to talk about the reactions to my gifts and holiday feelings in general. Once my browser froze on me, I took that as a sign to leave the baww-fest of that post in drafts. I suppose it's a way of saying I can be a bit too honest in my blog posts. Let's just say Ms. Williams is in a holiday funk and leave it at that.

The next thing on my agenda is baking the Red Velvet cake I missed out on creating for the holidays. Once I got sick with some kind of weird chest and throat thing, I could barely stand up and catch my breath long enough to putter around a kitchen. I spent a lot of time in bed and crawling to this desk to avoid going nuts. I ended up downing some Mucinex DM (wacky dreams, dizzy spells) and spent the next 72 hours coughing up things I'd rather not explain. On the plus side, I lost a pound or two. I'll gain it back soon.

We're down to the last blog of the year here, by the way. Will it be a video blog? Will I finally post that scathing gift review? I promise not to striptease and melt a thousand eyes with my pear-shaped form jiggling about. As the ol' bloggy transfers itself from GoDaddy to NameCheap, I'll be resting quietly thinking of what to do next.

Holiday Blues Lady Out.
