I've been slaving away at my old house, trying to spruce it up for our next line of potential tenants coming to check it out. It tugged at my heart a little bit to see the old place. It also scraped my soul a bit to see all the smoke damage on the walls of my old room. It looked like someone just smeared brown soot all over the white walls. I had a time scrubbing and washing and scrubbing and changing that dirty old water. Then, I went into the backyard and saw our beautiful burning bush in all her glory--half green, half red. Somehow that made everything seem all right. Since we moved in 2003 to live with my grandmother, I've been dying to move back into that house. The desire faded over time, but the love of that little ranch-style house has never died.
The week has been long, hard, and tiresome. Ms. Williams is very sore, has been crashing as soon as she's come home, doing school work, and is currently doing some ChaCha guide work before her next nap. With all that in mind, here's a lovely video from my YouTube favorites list to get you into the weekend. Have a good one!
