I wish I could record myself right now. Well, I did earlier. I made a video blog about a bad decision I made a year ago. I'm debating whether or not I should show it on YouTube. Quite honestly, it probably will not make a difference. I get a few views here and there on that thing. It's a huge contrast from my writing personality, however. (There are many sides to Ms. Williams. ;-) ) There's nothing bad in it. I'm just telling the truth about a situation I think the world should know about. I tossed in a few colorful words to express my feelings.
Anyway, I have been so insanely under the weather for about a week now. I had to dismiss dairy from my diet and have been honking like a horn all night and day. I've tried just about everything from Vicks to citrus and cough drops and er....double fiber wheat bread to cure my ills without actually having to touch medicine. At some point, I'm going to have to woman up and take some of that crap. It just makes me feel like I'm eight years old again. I would always get sick during this time of year without fail. Changing temps meant a clogged sinus, cough, dizzy spells, and medicine galore. I hated the medicine. I hated not being able to breathe. For some reason, the humidifier was always fun. My father calls me the "holistic hippie" because I refuse to instantly resort to all kinds of medicines to cure my ills. Considering the fact that it feels like the common Hay Fever affair I get from time to time, I'm not really into drugging myself up.
I've tried to quarantine myself from the rest of the family. At the same time, I'm also still in school. Lucky for me, my school is all online. I can slither out of bed and work in shifts to meet my deadlines and requirements. Somehow I'm able to do peer reviews and participate in communication thread messages. After that, it's usually soup and hours in front of this mad crazy game called The End. My last resort is to shuffle up front and sweat out the ill with a Wii session. I love the boxing training sessions on Wii Sports.
My downtime has made me notice all the little things. What time my birds get up, how terrible late-morning and early-afternoon television is, and how often the birds outside run around on the gutters. Long story short, being in bed all day makes lady crazy. It also makes me wish I said yes when I was offered a free frickin' iPad!! Luckily I'm on the downside of my cold. I'm still stuffy and coughing but not as often. I'm able to smell things again. I'll have the best time trying to unroll all this curled up paper in my room later on. I'll be back in action without fail in a couple of days.
I've got an interesting line up for this week. A new product review for Ocean Spray's Sparkling Drink, a new flavor of SkinnyCow ice cream, and a list of top blog mistakes we're all guilty of. If I ever conquer the procrastination monster, I might even show my latest attempt at cover art. As it turns out, Abstract art is a LOT harder than it looks. Score one for Capt. Obvious!
