Mr. Pregnant Gets Terminated?!

One of the most popular Youtube personalities gets shut down for good after a series of violations against his account. It's a sad day in video land when one of the founding Youtube greats loses a thousand videos over something he barely got an explanation for. Watch his final video below with remarks on this recent termination.

I just signed on to my Youtube account about twenty minutes ago to find the video above in my subscriptions section. I wondered why Mr. Pregnant would be making his last video. Did something happen in his real life which would prevent him from making the videos? Were his escapades in New York finally getting him in real trouble? I watched for all eleven and twenty-something minutes to find out that one of my favorite comedic personalities had been shut down because of a series of strikes against his account within 4 to 6 months of one another. Some of them were new videos, some of them were pretty old. As usual, the violations were handed out and the explanations were all copy and paste. What has Youtube done?

Compared to the other accounts of people who go on tirades about making children do adult-oriented things and all the accounts with young women shaking their jiggly parts on the camera, Mr. Pregnant's antics barely hurt anyone. Who hasn't made a prank call here and there? Who hasn't skipped down the street to do something silly to make everyone's head turn? How could Youtube simply up and terminate a thousand videos like he never made a mark in the digital world? It broke my heart to see the man in tears. These were tears of a comedian/artist, not someone who is over-reacting. These were tears of a person who spent hours upon hours editing, primping, and creating just for us--the fans and the subscribers.

Despite the fact that he is armed with two channels (his music channel is all that's left), it goes without saying that a piece of his work has been ripped from him. He's been doing this all since 2006 non-stop. It started out as something silly, evolved into him taking us on a journey of his weight loss, and finally emerged to a place where he was also willing to show the world his musical style and amazing talent. As a subscriber, semi-artist,  and a girl who sees him as a "friend in my head", it hurts deeply to see one of my Internet favorites be the latest victim of Youtube's mighty termination sword. If they've got the time to make all these rules about termination, why don't they take the time out to explain why? Or is this a subtle way of letting us underlings know we aren't good enough for a clear, concise explanation? So much can be said, sometimes when nothing much is said at all. My heart goes out to Mr. Pregnant in this hour of unfortunate circumstances.
