As a dame with all kinds of nasal allergies and irritations, it is truly hard for me to find a nice perfume or body mist that won't burn my eyes to heck and make me feel like a small child is jabbing my sinuses with a pointy stick. I really can't handle some of the more popular fragrances out there. So, this question always pops into my head once I see a pretty bottle or a provocative advert for a new perfume: "Is this going to smell good and not trigger my allergies to the extreme?" Since I'm usually armed with Elizabeth Arden's Tea Therapy, I felt a little wary venturing into new territory. I'm 25.5 and I want a scent that will smell fresh, clean, soft, and pretty. I don't want to smell like I've been incubating under a crowd of old ladies; and I certainly don't want to smell like I've been rolling in a field of smelly, wet flowers!
All funk aside, The perfume was a gift given to me last year for Christmas. Loving all things Cherry Blossom-themed, I decided to save it for special occasions. I opened the pretty white box to reveal a short, elegant, transparent and wide bottle full of pretty pink liquid. With a ritzy crystal top (engraved with the letters "BBW"--hee. ^.^), I assumed it would have a light scent like the Cherry Blossom Body Wash I used about five years ago. Boy howdy was I wrong.
Blushing Cherry Blossom perfume has a slightly strong scent to it. "Rich" would be a great way to describe this scent. It smells like a concentrated version of a Cherry Blossom Flower. The aroma had a lot more punch than I first assumed. I have to admit--I was worried it was going to really, really smell if I put too much on. Well, last week at my cousin's graduation, I sprayed some on ever so lightly on my wrists, neck, and chest area. Since my aunt has similar allergies, I let her senses and mine be put to the test. I made it through the night with no itchy feelings and no complaints! There was an ever-so-slight floral scent in the air for hours.
This is totally a Summer/warm weather perfume. The scent is strong enough where you can smell it, but light and feminine enough with a slight, tiny hint of a spicy smell. A couple of light sprays will do it. Quite honestly, the scent may fool you into thinking more than one spritz is overkill. Sadly, this particular scent seems to either be discontinued or has been replaced with two (one two)similar brands and a beauty set that looks like it has lotion and the same bottle of perfume I have. I found a bottle on Amazon like my bottle. You can also check eBay or other spots to see if anyone's selling.
