Donation T-Shirts/Items for Japanese Relief Effort

I am currently mulling in my head as to whether or not I really want to look into this endeavor. It's a hot ticket right now, but also something I'd be doing outside of just giving ten dollars to the Red Cross. Is it legal to create a print for t-shirts and donate the profits from those shirts to charity? And, if I make these shirts to begin with, will they be considered to be in good taste or poor taste? How many other people are doing this? To be quite honest, it makes me a little nervous. I don't want to get fined and penalized. First and foremost, it would be all up to the potential customers. All nervousness aside, I think I will make the shirts available and see where it goes from there.

All profits for these shirts will be directly donated to a charity on this page. Persons who purchase an item will be able to choose what charity for the set amount of the item they purchase. I'm not sure what exactly I want to put on there. Will it be a shirt? Will it be a teddy bear or a thermos? More than likely, it will NOT be something to wear and more like something to use. I'll be able to say for sure what it is later on tonight. The charity will be ongoing and will not end. I will also consider something for Haiti and Australia as well, considering the fact that their issues haven't been resolved, either. They also still need our help and I feel that ten dollars isn't enough.

I hope someone out there is reading and possibly willing to make a purchase. It's a fly by night idea and I expect cynics. However, dishonesty is not my name of the game. I will show screenshots of every donation from every person. Not a dime will be spent on myself and I will try to make it so that it goes in the donator's real name or their username. Items will be featured at my CafePress store, Funny Gal.

Please, the Japanese need our help and as human beings, we have to do our part in some way or form. If you can spare a little more than ten dollars, please consider shopping at my store.
